God created us good. He gave us free will. Not flawed. God did not punish Adam with death, that was the result of what he did. Like if your dad says "Stay out of the road" and you run into the road and get hit by a car. Did your dad punish you with death? Death is the result. Not a punishment. Why do you think he dreamed up your suffering? Don't mix man-made philosophy with what the Bible says.

You do what Adam and Eve did. She doubted God's Word and doubted His goodness. Adam listened to her, instead of God. This gave Satan dominion of the world.

It impacts our DNA, but is deeper.

Imagine that a nuclear war occurred at the time of the Cuban Missile crisis in the 60's. It devastated the planet. now 60 years later we have all kinds of cancers and disease and mutations and birth defects.

No one would question that something was wrong with us, and why it happened.

You could remove humans from the planet, and it would not matter. We clearly do not belong here. OR...something is wrong with us.
